Amazon is warning against sending manipulative follow-up emails

Sellers are getting warnings from Amazon indicating they are manipulating the buyer/seller messaging system by sending out messages that look like this:

If not, contact us to make it right

Amazon thinks this is misleading because the language is suggesting customers to leave positive reviews, while discouraging negative reviews.

In addition, sellers must provide unrated star review links. Review links prefilled with 5 stars is not allowed.

BQool’s Feedback Central provides email templates with neutral wording. In addition, we have removed the 5 stars review link in our templates in order to comply with Amazon’s policy. Users don’t have to worry that using Feedback Central to request review will get you banned by Amazon.

Amazon US- Fee Changes for Media products

Variable Closing Fees: Increased from $1.35 to $1.80 per item.
Referral fees: Previously, the referral fee for Media products was an applicable percentage of an item’s sales price (excluding any shipping or gift wrap charges). Effective March 1, 2017, the referral fee is instead calculated on the total sales price (the total amount paid by the customer, including the item price and any shipping or gift wrap charges), as follows:

• Books, Music, Video, DVD, Software, Video Games (non-console): Closing Fee - $1.80 per item; Referral Fee - 15% of the total sales price
• Video Game Consoles: Closing Fee - $1.80 per item; Referral Fee - 8% of the total sales price

BQool has already revised Amazon Referral Fee and Variable Closing Fee in our Profit Calculator to comply with Amazon’s change.
